The IYA registration process for all sports is handled online at and will be open for player registration for boys and girls lacrosse starting on January 18th.

Your registration fee will cover all associated program costs including insurance, field maintenance, goals, balls, referee fees, uniforms, goalie equipment, etc.

$100 – U9, U11, U13 and U15 boys and girls lacrosse groups (includes reversible uniform)

Season opens with first practice on Sunday, February 12th from 2-4pm at Mabry Middle School.

U9 – should we have enough younger players interested we are offering a U9 age group this year.  As with other age levels full protective equipment is necessary including helmet with mouth guard, shoulders pads, arm pads, gloves, stick, athletic cup and cleats.  For girls, eye protection, mouth guard, cleats and a stick are required.

U11, U13, U15 – full protective equipment for boys is necessary including helmet with mouth guard, shoulders pads, arm pads, gloves, stick, athletic cup and cleats.  For girls, eye protection, mouth guard, cleats and a stick are required.

Rental of Equipment:

As buying equipment can be quite expensive and easily exceed $200 we will be offering an equipment rental package this year though sizes and availability will be extremely limited and on a first come first serve basis.  Equipment rental will be $85 for the season and include all gear with exception of mouth piece, athletic cup and cleats.  A stick is included with the package.  All equipment must be signed for and returned in good condition at the end of the season, notwithstanding reasonable wear and tear.  Girls gear (stick and goggles) can be rented for just $25 for the season.

Age Eligibility Rules:

SC boys’ lacrosse age eligibility is based on date of birth as of September 1st of the prior year.  Players may play up one age level based on size, skill and/or experience level (with parental consent) but cannot play down an age level.

Field Location:

All practices and home games will be played at Mabry Middle School located at 35 Oakland Ave, Inman, SC 29349.

Practice Schedule:

We will hold practices on Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm beginning February 7th.  Once weather warms up we will add another practice day during the week most likely on Wednesdays from 6-8pm.

U11 and U13 Game Schedule:

We are planning on having a similar regular season schedule as last season vs. other area clubs including Dorman, Mauldin, Byrnes, Asheville and Spartanburg.  Games will be on Saturdays with each team potentially playing two games.  Locations, match ups and specific game times have not yet been finalized.  May include addition of U9 should we have enough to field a full team.

 3/25 - Opening weekend

4/1 – no games during Spring Break

4/8 – no games during Spring Break

4/15 – site to be determined

4/22 – site to be determined

4/29 – site to be determined

5/6 – site to be determined

5/13 – No league games, Guardian Cup tournament in Asheville (team fees apply)

5/20 – Championship weekend hosted by Inman

*** Some clubs may have multiple teams per age group, yet to be determined.  If so, we may push up start times and/or split hosting sites as needed.

Game Length/Rules:

Games will be 20 minute running time per half.  No defensive poles, short sticks only for U11, up to four poles for U13+ allowed.  Where available, U11 games will be played on modified sized field.

U9 Games:

As clubs are looking to expand and grow into this age group the format will be 7v7 with goalies where available. Full equipment is required, though both U9 and U11 are no bodily contact.

Should we participate in any end of season tournaments (i.e. Asheville) team entry fees will be split among participating players (i.e. $800 team fee divided by 20 players = $40, etc.) accordingly to cover our costs.

School players:

To avoid injury and conflict with school schedules, our U15 JV and Varsity players can join us after the conclusion of their school season.  Games will once again be played during the week, likely Wednesday nights.

Girls’ lacrosse:

We will again be offering a girls’ lacrosse program with same age groups of U9, U11, U13 and U15 as the boys though please note that number of games per age group may be limited as there are just not enough girls programs currently active in the upstate.  Teams committed to having a girls program include Inman, Asheville, Mauldin and possibly addition of Spartanburg this year.

Girls are required to have eye protection, mouthpiece and cleats in addition to their stick.  Rental program is available for girls gear as well.

If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to give either of us a call.

Thank you,

Brian and Frank
